Long time ago, the Celts in Ireland believed that on the night of
October 31 all the dead would come back to the world in the form
of spirits or ghosts. People would dress up like witches or ghosts
in order to fight against them. Gradually, this became a fun day for children
to wear costumes and play the game of trick-or-treat,
especially in the USA and Canada.
